The next episode of the new season ofGrand Designs: The Streetsis on tonight, with the popular Channel 4 show revealing the latest self build and custom build sites across the UK.

Following on from the work of previous seasons,Grand Designs: The Streetsonce again takes viewers on an adventure to discover ambitious and ground-breaking self build and custom build sites. Hosted by Kevin McCloud, each episode delves into the process ofbuilding a housewhilst showcasing the power of community and the human stories behind these extraordinary endeavours.

Largest home ever made with just boxes and bolts

The season continues at the Graven Hill site where another innovativeself buildproject seeks to inspire the viewers imagination.

Kevin visits Jonathan, from York, who is collaborating with engineers from around the world to create a home which pushes the boundaries of conventional construction.

At the heart of this revolutionary method lies a strange idea: wooden boxes, connected solely by bolts. This project aspires to achieve an unprecedented feat; being the largest home ever made by this method.

For Jonathan this home is more than just a scientific pursuit; as it is a place where he plans to create a nurturing environment for his son.

When is the new series of Grand Design: The Streets on?

Grand Designs: The Streetsis currently in its third series. All of season 3's seven episodes will air weekly on Channel 4 at 9 pm every Tuesday.
